Hi, I'm Jodie. Colour is my whole thing.
I'm the surface pattern designer behind Colour Rebel. I came to pattern at 45 with a passion for print, an obsession with colour and a stubborn desire for a more creative life.
I picked up an iPad in late 2024 and started drawing. By February 2025 it was a business.

How I work
Drawn by hand. With commercial brains behind it.
I grew up in a family of home seamstresses, surrounded by fabric, pattern pieces and strong opinions about prints. That never left me.
Before pattern I spent 25 years in commercial sales operations. So every collection starts with the question most artists skip: what will this sell on? Then I draw it by hand, build it as a true seamless repeat and deliver it ready for production.
I design in ranges, not one-offs. Hero prints, coordinates and blenders that work together, so one collection can carry a whole product line. And I do not do muted.

Pattern that is already working.
My first licence was packaging for a luxury gifting company. In 2025 my work was shortlisted in six design categories at the ufurnish.com Home Awards.
My own designs are in production on phone cases, iPad sleeves, greeting cards and more in the Colour Rebel shop, so I know how they print and how they sell.
